The design strategy revolves around a palette of pastel hues, an instrument serif font, and bespoke hand-drawn illustrations, all harmonizing to create a distinctive and inviting ambiance.

Color Palette: The color palette for KORA is a carefully curated selection of wine tones, including soft blush pink, citrus orange, wine red and gentle sage white. These colors evoke a sense of wine testing, perfectly complementing the relaxing environment that KORA provides. The subtlety of these shades allows the space to feel open and airy, promoting a sense of ease and relaxation for guests.

Typography: An instrument serif font is chosen for KORA’s branding to impart a sense of classic elegance with a contemporary twist. This typeface, with its refined lines and sophisticated details, adds a layer of depth and character to the visual identity. It communicates a sense of quality and attention to detail, reflecting the premium experience offered at KORA.

Designed Descriptors: Incorporating the rich colors of wine, the branding includes designed descriptors that mirror the hues found in various wines. From deep burgundy and rich merlot to light rosé and golden chardonnay, these color accents add depth and vibrancy to the branding materials. 
Design Process for KORA Wine Bar Logo

The design process for the KORAʼs logo was a meticulous and thoughtful journey, aimed at capturing the sophisticated yet relaxed essence of the brand. The goal was to create a logo that embodies the elegance and modern minimalism of KORA while incorporating unique elements that reflect the dynamic nature of natural wine.

A key decision was to use an instrument serif font for the logo, which brought a sense of classic sophistication. To introduce a touch of playfulness and relaxed ease, the letters were italicized, except for the letter ‘O’. This subtle deviation in the typography adds a feeling of light-heartedness, akin to the easy, carefree sensation of enjoying a good glass of wine.

A distinctive feature of the logo is the special accent above the letter ‘a’. This accent is not static; it changes color based on the type of wine being highlighted – wine red colour for red wines, golden creme white for white wines, citronic orange for orange wines, and soft blush for rosé wines. This dynamic element adds a versatile and interactive dimension to the logo, visually connecting it to the diverse range of wines offered at KORA.

The result is a logo that not only stands out but also fluidly adapts to showcase the rich variety of wines offered, ensuring that KORA Wine Bar’s branding is both elegant and engaging.
In creating the hand-drawn illustrations for KORA Wine Bar, I focused on a style of very easy charcoal hand drawings to maintain an artisanal and approachable feel. Each illustration, crafted with simple, delicate lines, captures the essence of wine culture—grapevines, wine glasses, and serene vineyard landscapes. The use of charcoal adds a rustic, organic touch, perfectly aligning with the minimalist and sophisticated aesthetic of KORA. These illustrations are integrated subtly into the branding, enhancing the overall visual identity with a personal, handcrafted charm that resonates with the intimate and curated experience offered at the wine bar.
